It has been several years now since permanent make-up and reconstructive dermopigmentation has been developed. This technique has been inspired by tattooing. When performed according to the code of practice, with very good medical knowledge and visagism, an irreproachable hygiene and carried out carefully and with delicacy, the result can be confusing with the natural. The technique consists of implanting pigments in the derm, in order to modify or to correct what one estimates to be an imperfection. It is important to know that the reconstructive dermopigmentation can bring details which give an effect even more realistic after a Phalloplasty, Mamectomy, Mamoplasty as well as it can also conceal certain scars.
- Difference with tattooing
The technique is the same, but the pigments used are sterile. They bring an extremely natural effect and blur with time. The pigment is injected less deeply into the skin compared to decorative tattooing. The choice of colours is more important and the pigments are very stable and do not bleach.
FTM
- Phalloplasty
After a Phalloplasty, when the healing is finished and with the agreement of the doctor, one can consider pigmentation of the glans and possibly of the penoid in order to obtain a result even more realistic. The penoid and the glans will be pigmented with nuances of colour since, naturally, they are not identical colours. It is not always necessary to pigment the whole penoid, it depends on the colour of the skin used. If it is rather dark and that it has a beautiful contrast with the thighs, it is not necessary to pigment it. Each patient will make his choice. Most important in all the cases is to pigment the glans.
- Mamectomy
After the Mamectomy, it may happen that your areolas are not very well defined anymore or simply too clear, one can also pigment them in order to modify the size, the form and the colour. Certain scars can also be attenuated.
MTF
- Mamoplasty
After the Mamoplasty, one can increase the size of the areolas mammary, change the form as well as the colour and also conceal certain scars.
FTM - MTF
- Permanent make-up
The permanent make-up, which will also blur with time, is addressed as well to the FTM as to the MTF, in order to make a face more female or more masculine. It is significant to precise that for a face more masculine FTM, it is important to know that a permanent make-up can be undertaken only when the face is completely virilised. At the time the testosterone is taken, the effects of changes morphological vary from a person to another. They can go from 1 to 3 years, even more. It is preferable to wait until the face found its final form (thicker eyebrows, modification of the width of the neck, nose etc…) before undertaking pigmentation.
- Interventions
For all the interventions, photographs are always taken before the pigmentation. The preparation with the pencil is then carried out, which will make it possible to visualize the final result. When the drawing is approved, the colour of the pigment will be selected with the patient and the pigmentation will be able to start. Anaesthesia of surface can be carried out if the patient feels the need. The pigmentation will be covered with a bandage during 2 to 3 days (except for the face), then it will be enough to hydrate it with a cream which will be given to you. After 1 to 1 ½ month, finalizations will take place in order to bring even more details. In general 2 interventions are enough.
- Pigments - advantages
- The pigments are sterile
- Great choice of colour
- A very natural effect is immediately obtained
- They blur in time (between 4 to 5 years)
- The colours are very realistic and very stable
A routine maintenance is to be evaluated according to each patient with an average of 5 years, even more, that depends from one skin to another. Compared to the remainder of the body, the pigment will blur more quickly on the face, as this one is being permanently exposed to the light.
